The understanding of the clinical and therapeutical approach of severe behaviour disorders in terms of rape and murder with some adolescents is here studied from the point of view of projective techniques. The specificity of T.A.T. protocoles shows the temporary efficiency of splitting at work with such adolescents but also its failure when the representation of object‑loss is appealed to, hence summoning up a huge abandonment and annihilation anxiety which will entail drive defusion. The tonality of an internal lethal void is hence unfolded within a narcissism constantly threatened by being broken down into pieces.

The narrator of the autobiographical story Cousin K is a young male writer who retraces the course of his life before becoming the murderer of a hitch-hiker who asked him for assistance. We will consider the impact on the hero of several accumulated traumatisms in childhood and adolescence (early maternal rejection, direct confrontation with his father’s death, perverse influence) and their possible role in the emergence of a cruelty drive. We will advance the hypothesis that the recourse to a criminal act is a search for triumph over the object and for omnipotence in the face of a threat of annihilation.

This article approaches certain aspects of fantasmatic of Theresa of Lisieux at the time of her preadolescence and its puberty. It reveals psychic conflicts marked by death and violence, as well as by the strength of the oedipian affects and by an impossible sexuality. It tries to show that if the psychical reality of « little Theresa » is far from corresponding to the sweetened image that we are usually made, it reveals not less the quality of the work of the life instincts and the strength of a remarkable process of maturation which known how to transform gradually a pathological and mortiferous psychic organization into a dynamics turned to the life.
